Also the Otakon Artists Alley sold out in just one day. I was hoping to buy a table this week. I don't really have any money anyway, because of taxes.

They might re-open registration at some unannounced time in the future - I hope that doesn't happen on a weekend, because I'd miss it again. There is no waitlist at this time.

I missed registering for Anime Boston this year, which sold out in 30 seconds or less - I failed to even arrange a shared table! Someone almost offered me a Sunday table and then backed out. I guess Artist Alleys have been selling out like crazy this year.

It's time to start your own anime convention!

Wrong!

I have avoided staffing any convention until now, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Time to start a doujin convention, perhaps... if there are so many freaking artists selling out every east coast con!

i've had a couple friends ask me to get a table with them and attempt to sell some artwork but i'm not sure how they'd ever get a table if stuff sells out that fast, and they're not very organized to do it anyway. i don't think i'd sell anything since i don't have an anime art style. and all the squeeing would make my ears bleed.

What I find ridiculous is that they allow a single group to take up crazy amounts of tables, even though there is obviously a space shortage. For instance, there's someone in the main thread, bragging about how she snatched up four full tables for her single group with six people because they were "soooo cramped" last year. *Eyeroll*

Woah! I'm surprised they allow that. Anime Boston doesn't allow people to take more than one table. Of course, there's no way to know if every person in the group goes and gets their own table. ...but if they do that, there's no guarantee that they'll be next to each other.
